Guy Friend... The Biggest Threat to a Committed Relationship

Men and women are different when it comes to fidelity. Men spreading their seed to as many women as possible and women conserving their eggs for worthy partners... human nature. Both ensure the survival of the species.

Guys cheat because, well, they want sex.

Different sex.
The hope of better sex.
Trophy sex.
Once-in-a-lifetime sex.
Revenge sex.
Ex-girlfriend sex.
Ego driven thrill-of-the-hunt sex.

It's an issue of novelty and desire. No matter how good the relationship is, he wants to bang someone new. Variety and physical gratification drive men to cheat. There's basically nothing a woman can do to detect it ahead of time because the effects are too random. Think about wealthy men with beautiful wives who solicit dirty, ugly prostitutes. Cockthink.

Women, on the other hand, cheat because of problems in the relationship, an unfulfilled desire, adventure, love and/or novelty. The first four are the ones that a man has some chance of detecting before they grow into affairs.

The basic threats to a man in a committed relationship are...

The Ex

Women are usually really good about not going back to an ex. If she's told you how great the sex was, worry. If she understands the reasons why she left him and is happy with you, don't. Novelty isn't satisfied with this one and if you're not having problems, it's not a big threat.

The Tall, Dark Stranger

This is the least of the risks. Most women are scared to catch something and think that a one night stand just isn't worth it. There would have to be big relationship problems or a desire for revenge. A girl's night out rarely leads to a drunken hookup past age 21... unless they are quite adventurous (and not too self-respecting).

The Opposite Sex Friend

If a woman has a "guy friend" from grade school or high school, then that threat significantly decreases to almost nil. But if a woman has a "new guy friend"... beware. The reason this is the biggest threat to a relationship is because he satisfies her unfulfilled desire, love, novelty and/or if she talks to him about the problems in the relationship then it's so ON. If there's a guy friend, it's usually just a guy waiting to fuck your girl (with some obvious exceptions).

The Co-Worker (Can turn into the Opposite Sex Friend be on guard.)

If it's just a "Tony from the office", who you've met and hung out with at christmas parties... this one is a minimal risk... unless of course, they sit across from each other. If they are looking at each other for most of the day, then you should uh-ohhh. The eyes are the windows to the soul... and panties.

And the one risk which you can't ever be too sure about is...

The Man's Best Friend (Not beastiality)

A guy can never be too sure about a woman and his best friend. Even if they are "boys" he can't be too sure if "Mike gave me a ride" is the way she got home or the way she got off. No need to be too stressed about it, but just don't ignore warning signs.

As for men cheating... the co-worker, the friend, the ex, the stranger, the woman's best friend are all about an equal risk... especially if any of these are reasonably attractive vagina carriers. :P
